Hospital Policies

Appointment Policy

The Cat Practice of Oak Park schedules each appointment based upon what is required to give each cat all the time and attention needed. Therefore, to avoid any inconvenience to you, we ask that you schedule an appointment. Emergency cases involving life and death situations will always receive first priority.

A drop-off option is available for cats that need to be seen when no appointment times are open.

Transporting Your Pet

For the safety of you and your cat, all cats must be presented in an appropriate carrier. It is very dangerous to attempt to bring a cat from a car, on a busy street, to an unfamiliar building without a secure carrier.

Pharmacy

The Cat Practice has an extensive pharmacy for the convenience of our clients. For difficult to medicate cats we offer several alternatives to conventional oral dosing.

Each and every refill MUST be approved by a doctor before being filled. This is for the safety of your pet and follows the strict standards of federal and state laws.

Calling ahead when you need a prescription refilled will cut your waiting time as this will allow us to get the prescription approved and made up before you arrive to pick it up.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, cash and personal checks.  We also have a program called Care Credit available to help finance more expensive procedures. If you are interested, please visit their site for more information; you can link to us and fill out an application there.
